How HMG Works

HMG is a purified preparation containing equal amounts of FSH and LH derived from the urine of postmenopausal women. FSH acts on Sertoli cells (males) or granulosa cells (females) to stimulate gametogenesis and follicular development, while LH acts on Leydig cells (males) or theca cells (females) to stimulate sex steroid production.
