How Semax Works

Semax is a synthetic heptapeptide analog of ACTH(4-10) with a stabilizing Pro-Gly-Pro extension. It increases BDNF and TrkB receptor expression, enhances neurotrophic factor signaling, modulates dopaminergic and serotonergic neurotransmission, and provides neuroprotection through antioxidant and anti-inflammatory mechanisms. Unlike ACTH, Semax has no steroidogenic activity.
