How Adipotide/FTTP Works

Adipotide is a chimeric peptidomimetic consisting of two functional domains: a targeting motif (CKGGRAKDC) that binds prohibitin on the surface of blood vessels supplying white adipose tissue, and a proapoptotic peptide D(KLAKLAK)2 that disrupts mitochondrial membranes in targeted endothelial cells.
