How GHRP-6 Works

GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide that stimulates GH secretion by binding to the ghrelin receptor (GHSR-1a) and acting synergistically with endogenous GHRH. It suppresses somatostatin signaling, amplifies GHRH-induced GH release, and strongly stimulates appetite through ghrelin-mimetic effects in the arcuate nucleus. GHRP-6 also has cytoprotective effects on cardiac tissue, promotes gastric motility, and can modestly elevate cortisol and prolactin levels.
